Created by writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby, Johnny Storm is a renovation of Carl Burgos’s original character, the android Human Torch, created for Timely Comics in 1939. Storm first appeared in The Fantastic Four #1, establishing him as a member of the titular superhero team.
