Holland & Holland is a British gunmaker and clothing brand based in London, England. It offers handmade sporting rifles and shotguns. Holland & Holland was founded by Harris Holland in 1835. The company’s London flagship store is on Bruton Street.
In 1885, Holland & Holland were granted patents for their “Paradox Gun”, a shotgun having rifling in the front two inches of the barrel. During the Second World War, it was one of the companies that converted hand-picked Lee Enfield’s into sniper rifles.
In the 1990’s, it started a huge expansion programme where it expanded its gunrooms in Dallas and Moscow. In addition to their reputation of a well-known gunmaker, Holland & Holland’s prestigious grounds at London raise the performance of shots in the field. Recently, their clothing brand has also been reinvented by Isabella Cawdor and Stella Tennant.
