TODAY’S TRADEMARK – M-CLASS
The Mercedes M-Class is a mid-size luxury SUV manufactured by the German automaker Mercedes-Benz. Introduced in 1997, it was one of the first luxury SUVs available in the market. The SUV has undergone several redesigns and generations, with the latest version launched in 2019. The M-Class is known for its spacious and comfortable interior, strong engine options, and exceptional safety ratings.
It is also equipped with advanced technology features, including a large infotainment system and driver assistance systems, among other comfort and convenience features. Mercedes-Benz offers various engine options, including petrol, diesel, and hybrid, and the SUV is available in both rear-wheel and all-wheel drive configurations. The Mercedes M-Class has received positive feedback from both critics and buyers, making it a popular choice among luxury SUV consumers.
The term “M-Class” was registered with the EUIPO on July 29, 1999, bearing the serial number 000114306, as a word mark under Class 12 of the international classification of goods and services for the purposes of the registration of marks. However, the M-Class was renamed the GLE in April 2015, in line with the E-Class, with the release of the facelifted W166 model, as part of an effort to streamline Mercedes-Benz’s SUV nameplates.
