TRADEMARK OF THE WEEK – SCOOP WHOOP
The “Scoop Whoop” mark was registered on 25 January, 2020 by the Scoop Whoop media private limitedin the Indian trademark office bearing registration number 4420004.
ScoopWhoop Media is a New Delhi-based digital media enterprise run by Indians. It runs a number of online content verticals and functions as a news organization, providing web series, documentaries, and reporting on current events with a concentration on video production and a target audience predominantly made up of teenagers and young adults. It also includes additional entertainment and informational stuff.
In 2013, Sattvik Mishra, Rishi Pratim Mukherjee, Sriparna Tikekar, Saransh Singh, Suparn Pandey, and Debarshi Banerjee co-founded the company with him. It began as a BuzzFeed clone, an Indian website for creating and sharing viral material, but it has now grown into a news media organization that competes with The Times Group, Dainik Jagran, and NDTV on the internet. ScoopWhoop began as an online blog for which was launched in August 2013 inspired from Buzzfeed.
