United Way is an international network of over 1800 local non-profit fundraising affiliates over more than 40 countries focused on creating community-based and community-led solutions that strengthen the cornerstones of good quality of life: education, financial stability and health.
The membership to United Way and the use of United Way brand is managed by the United Way Worldwide umbrella organization. United Ways are federated fundraising bodies that focus on mobilizing a single fundraising campaign to raise money for a diverse range of non-profits. United Way also administers many of the workplace campaigns for employees in the United States under the Combined Federal Campaign.
Some of the national and international initiatives formed between United Ways or by the United Way Worldwide Body are NFL Partnership, Philanthropy Cloud, Tocqueville Society and Loaned Executive Program. The trademark of “United Way” was registered in USPTO bearing registration number 1021242 on September 23, 1975.
