TODAY’S TRADEMARK – TROPICA
The Company filed for the Trademark ‘TROPICA’ with the USPTO on March 29, 1988 and was assigned registration number 1482605. The mark has been in use since August 1970.
Located in Egå, close to Aarhus, Tropica Aquarium Plants is a privately held enterprise in Denmark. Holger Windeløv established the business in 1970. Due to a generational shift, the company was sold to JPS Clemens in 2004. As the cornerstone of a long-term strategy, the new owners opened a new nursery garden in 2007.
Since 1970 Tropica has developed and grown aquarium plants in Denmark in a sustainable manner. They have created a full line of plant care products and increased their plant variety to over 150 types in their more than five years of operation. The goal of the company is to encourage sustainable local plant production while making the hobby accessible to all.
Every plant is unique, and so are their requirements. Some need a lot of CO2, light, and fertiliser. Others will prosper with very little assistance. Everyone can now choose plants with ease thanks to Tropica. Every Tropica plant has a patented emblem on it that tells you how challenging the plant is. You may quickly review and select the ideal plants for your aquarium in this way.
Tropica’s Plant Care solutions address the essential requirements that an aquarist must meet to guarantee the best possible growth and health for their fish and plants.
