TikTok is a popular social media app that allows users to create, watch, and share 15-60 seconds videos shot on mobile devices or webcams. The app was launched in 2016 by the Chinese technology company ByteDance with its head office in Beijing, china.
The company grossed more than $2.3 billion in 2021 due to the COVID19 pandemic, which increased social media usage amid lockdowns and other restrictions. ByteDance created a new company, TikTok Global where ByteDance would continue to own 80% of TikTok Global, with Oracle and Walmart as its minority owners and U.S. partners.
The wordmark “TIKTOK” falls under classes 09, 038, 041, 042 of the international classification code and been registered as both Trademark and Service mark, can be described consisting of the literal element “TIKTOK” in the color black in a stylized format. The letter “O” within “TIKTOK” possesses blue on its left edge and red on its right edge. The color white is not claimed as a feature of the mark and represents background possessing 88101026 as the serial number, registered on 4th February 2020 in USPTO.
