In the year of 1998, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Limited was formed as a wholly owned subsidiary of BMW. It has been manufacturing Rolls-Royce branded cars since the year 2003. In January 2010, Mr Torsten Müller-Ötvös joined the company as the Chief Executive with an aim to regain the quality standards which made Rolls-Royce famous. Mr Torsten Müller-Ötvös is the current Chief Executive. The first product offered for sale in the year 2003 was the Rolls-Royce Phantom four door sedan. Then the company expanded the product line to two-door coupé, and convertible versions of the Phantom Sedan, as well as the smaller Ghost four-door sedan, Wraith two-door coupé, Dawn Convertible, and the Cullinan SUV. In 2014, it achieved the all time high records topping 2016 sales by 52 cars.
