TODAY’S TRADEMARK – RARE SCOT
The Company Heaven Hill Distilleries, Inc. filed for the Trademark ‘RARE SCOT’ for Scotch Whiskey with the USPTO on March 18, 1969 and was assigned registration number
866935. The mark has been in use since December 1966.
Founded in 1935 and with its headquarters located in Bardstown, Kentucky, Heaven Hill Distilleries, Inc. is a privately held American family distillery that manufactures and distributes a range of distilled spirits, including the Heaven Hill brand of Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey.
The distillery was formerly known as “Old Heaven Hill Springs”. When the company was first established, it operated as a bourbon distillery with the primary goal of supplying bulk whiskey to outside parties on a futures basis. Over the last twenty years, the company has broadened its range of products by acquiring brands or securing import rights for various beverages such as vodka, gins, and malt whiskey.
The Heaven Hill Bernheim distillery, where it is currently located, is situated in Louisville, Kentucky. It is the largest independent family-owned distillery company in the United States, the second-largest global holder of bourbon whiskey inventory, the seventh-largest supplier of alcohol to the country, and the only sizable family-owned distillery with its headquarters located in Kentucky.
Ever since it was established in 1935, Heaven Hill Distillery has been run and owned by the same family. They can thus uphold their heritage and strive for the calibre of work that perpetuates the family legacy.
