The company was renamed to Nike in 1971 after the Greek goddess of victory. One of the most valuable brands among sport businesses, Nike employs over 76,000 people worldwide. It sells its apparel through the Nike brand, as well as through its subsidiaries Jordan and Converse brands. The company sponsors top athletes and sports teams around the world, including LeBron James, Serena Williams, Rafael Nadal, and Alex Morgan & many more on the line.
The term “NIKE” and their “CURVED STRIPE” tick figured logo were both registered separately bearing the serial number 1345172 and 1345173 on 10th February 2010 as an Australian trademark have their origin from US. They can be described as both figurative and verbal in nature, falling under the class 35 of the International Classification of Goods and Services for the Purposes of the Registration. In 2021 the company announced plans to begin refurbishing returned sneakers to sell at a lower price as part of an attempt to reduce consumer waste and combat climate change which indeed promoted its brand value much higher to the peek.
