With 33 offices worldwide, LinkedIn has its present headquarters in Sunnyvale, California, having been established in Mountain View, California. As its second-largest acquisition to date, Microsoft announced in June 2016 that it would buy LinkedIn for $196 per share, or $26.2 billion in total. It has been a fully owned subsidiary of Microsoft since December 2016. LinkedIn had 774+ million registered users as of September 2021, coming from more than 200 nations and territories.
