Barnes & Noble Education acquired Loud Cloud Systems which is a digital platform and analytics provider to clients in higher education and enlarged their Digital Student Solutions online services. Barnes & Noble Education acquired PaperRater in 2018 to help students write papers and identify plagiarism.
