TODAY’S TRADEMARK – ASICS
The “Asics” mark was registered on 21 January, 2015 by the Asics Corporationin the Malaysian trademark office bearing registration number 2015050708. The Mark is simple with inverted “e” kind of design.
Sportswear is produced by the Japanese multinational company Asics. An abbreviation for the Latin proverb “anima sana in corpore sano” gives rise to the name Asics. The company is know to sell apparel (t-shirts, coats, hoodies, swimsuits, compression garments, jeans, socks), and accessories are all produced and marketed by Asics (bags, backpacks, caps). On September 1, 1949, Onitsuka Co., Ltd. changed its name to Asics.
The business’s founder, Kihachiro Onitsuka, started making basketball shoes in his hometown of Kobe in the Japanese prefecture of Hyogo. The company’s offering of sports services grew to include a variety of Olympic sports that were practiced by athletes all over the world in the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s.
