The Company filed for the Trademark ‘STROBEL’ with the USPTO on March 28, 1989 and was assigned registration number 1531657. The mark has been in use since 1920.
Johann Strobel assumed control of Simmerlein & Willareth on March 17, 1883, and began trading under the moniker “J. Strobel”. The company did sewing machine repairs in addition to making bicycles. Production was moved to specialised sewing machines starting in 1919.
The company “J. Strobel & Söhne GmbH & Co.” was taken over by new owners on August 1, 2005, and they are still operating it under the name “Strobel Spezialmaschinen GmbH.” That same year, they moved to a new production building.
