TODAY’S TRADEMARK – D&B DAVE AND BUSTER’S
D&B Dave and Buster’s company filed for trademark with the USPTO on March 2nd, 1999 and was assigned registration number 2228792. Their mark was first used on December 1st, 1982.
The American restaurant and entertainment chain Dave & Buster’s has its headquarters in Dallas. Every Dave & Buster’s features a video arcade, a full-service restaurant, and a bar. The corporation operates in 156 US states, two US territories (Puerto Rico and Canada) as of September 2023.
Buster established a restaurant in the late 1970s that was well-known for its delicious food and welcoming atmosphere. Dave built an amazing entertainment and gaming spot a few doors down, where adults were enticed in for a good time. The two youthful business owners observed customers moving between both establishments, and an idea dawned on them: what if they combined both into one building?
When the two young guys arrived at “Restaurant Row” in Dallas, they discovered a 40,000 square foot empty warehouse. Dave and Buster plunged into building despite being labelled as certifiably insane by many in the restaurant business. In December 1982, they built the first Dave & Buster’s, with Dave’s name first since he won a coin toss.
