TRADEMARK OF THE WEEK – SPRAY FORCE
In 1968, Doug Burchfield established Spray Force Manufacturing. It is located in a 1500 square foot factory in Fresno, California. The customized service that has grown to be the hallmark of Spray Force Manufacturing started here.
On January 16, 1973, the Company filed for trademark registration with the USPTO under registration number 950748. From July 3rd, 1968, the mark has been in use.
By 1970, the company had 10 employees and had relocated to a 7000 square foot facility. The company was incorporated in 1971. The initial product line included tools for finishing stucco, acoustic ceilings, and spraying drywall texture.
As the building industry has evolved, Spray Force has developed specialised equipment to apply a wide range of novel materials. They significantly expanded their overall sales in 1978 when a number of plastering and fireproofing tools were added.
After her father Doug Burchfield passed away in October of 2002, Nancy Burchfield, who has been a member of Spray Force from its founding, carried on his legacy. After 25 years of experience in plastering, Bryan Thompson took on the role of President at Spray Force. Soon after he arrived, the Thompson/Burchfield partnership started working on an industry-changing project: the first plastering rig with complete hydraulic power, now known as the Excalibur Hydra.
Their reputation for producing high-quality, long-lasting equipment has helped them create significant growth in overseas sales over the last few years.
