TODAY’S TRADEMARK – HOUSE-AUTRY
The Wordmark “HOUSE-AUTRY” was registered in USPTO bearing registration number 2234401 on March 23, 1999.
The Family who started the business moved to Newton Grove, North Carolina, from England in 1812, marking the beginning of everything. The millstones were brought from England to North Carolina through the Atlantic Ocean, ferrying them up the Cape Fear River before being brought by oxcart and mule team to the original mill site in Newton Grove. In order to create what is currently known as House-Autry Mills, the House mill eventually expanded and combined with the Autry Brothers Mill Company in 1967. We moved our mill in 2001 to a cutting-edge location in nearby Four Oaks, North Carolina. Our 200-year lifespan and basic principles (Teamwork, Integrity, Caring, and Commitment) are supported by a number of pillars: a commitment to providing stone ground products, a laser-like emphasis on adapting to shifting consumer preferences.
