This trademark is owned by Galderma Holding S.A. Societe Anonyme and was registered in USPTO bearing registration number 5341635 on November 21th, 2017. This trademark is registered under the category ‘Cosmetics and skin care preparations, namely, face, hand, and body soaps, face, hand, and body cleansers, and face, hand, and body moisturizers; hair shampoos and conditioners; sunblocks; sunscreens, Pharmaceutical products.’ The colors blue, green, black, grey and white are claimed as a feature of the mark. The mark consists of overlapping ellipses over which the literal element “CETAPHIL” is superimposed in white. The inner overlap of the ellipses are in a gradient blue with a black, grey and white outline, and the outer ellipses appear in gradient green.

Cetaphil is a range of dermatologist-recommended skincare products in India for over 70 years, and is today used by millions of women with sensitive skin from all over the world. The original product, called Cetaphil Cleansing Lotion, was invented by a pharmacist in 1947 specifically for dermatological needs. The product quickly became popular, and today, generations later, is called Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser. Cetaphil today offers a product line that includes face and body moisturisers, cleansers, baby care, sun care and products for common skin issues.
