TODAY’S TRADEMARK – HERMAN KREISER
The Herman Kreiser Collection embraces all the needs of the demanding player starting from carefully hand-crafted in small, focused workshops by luthiers from the Hebei region of China using materials sourced from around the world. Whether you are a progressing student, or a discerning advanced player, the collection of violins, violas and cellos embody everything you would expect from an instrument of this caliber. With gorgeous flamed maple and well-balanced antique spirit and oil-based varnishes, it sets the aesthetic. While the quality of varnish and material selections can be seen, these are mere extensions of the real differences that can only be heard. Each instrument is modelled after actual examples or patterns of prominent historical makers, having its own colour and character, but the overall aesthetic quality is maintained between each – within the patterns, outlines, and graduation templates that are referenced during construction. As a result, each instrument produces a unique tone and response timbre, much like the original master luthiers – Stradivarius, Guarneri, and Guadagnini.
