Bausch and Lomb is a company based in Laval, Quebec, Canada which has a speciality in eye products. It was founded by optician John Bausch and financial backer Henry Lomb in the year 1853 in Rochester, New York. It is the world’s largest suppliers of eye care products like contact lenses, lens care products, pharmaceuticals, intraocular lenses etc.  Bausch & Lomb was listed on NYSE and was a public company. In 2007 it was acquired by Warburg Pincus which was a private equity firm. Currently the company employees a12,000 people in 36 countries. In 2016, the total turnover of the company was US$2.29 billion. Their business areas are divided into vision care, pharmaceuticals and surgery. In the year 2003, Corporate Equity Index gave 100% rating on Corporate Equity Index to Bausch and Lomb which was released  by Human Rights Campaign.  

The trademark of this company was registered in USPTO bearing registration number  1484970 on April 19, 1988.
